About Me

Michelle Collings, CMES, RYT500

Michelle Collings is a dedicated wellness professional with over 20 years of experience in the exercise and wellness industry. As a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist, E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor, and Certified Grief Coach, Michelle blends scientific knowledge with a holistic approach to help individuals heal, strengthen, and thrive. Her work is grounded in compassion and tailored to each client’s unique needs.


A Journey Rooted in Science and Healing

Michelle’s career began with a strong foundation in Exercise Science and Teaching, giving her a deep understanding of how movement supports lifelong health. After experiencing a profound personal loss, she turned to yoga and holistic practices as part of her own healing. This journey inspired her to complete a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training and a 200-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Certification, where she learned the power of blending functional movement, breath work, meditation, and compassionate guidance to restore balance in both body and mind.


As a Holistic Health and Medical Exercise Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the wellness and fitness industry, Michelle founded her private practice, Moving Forward, where she has guided countless clients to heal, grow stronger, and live with more ease. She now brings this expertise to Intrinsic Wellness Studio, collaborating with owner Jeannine as the Director of Studio Classes & Programs. In this role, Michelle helps ensure the studio’s mission is achieved—focusing on functional movement, balance, stability, and overall wellness so clients can live everyday life to the fullest.


Moving Through Grief & Trauma-Informed Yoga

As a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher and Grief Coach, Michelle creates a safe, supportive space for those experiencing grief, trauma, or stress. Through gentle functional movement, breath work, and meditation, she helps rebalance the nervous system, improve emotional regulation, and restore the connection between body and mind. Her sessions are compassionate and deeply supportive, offering tools for healing and renewal.


Functional Movement, Balance & Posture

Michelle specializes in functional movement training that supports everyday living, improves posture, and enhances balance. She works with clients managing chronic conditions, recovering from injury or surgery, or transitioning from rehabilitation to independent exercise. Her programs focus on building strength, mobility, and confidence so that clients can move with ease in daily life.


Holistic Nutrition Coaching

Taking a holistic approach to health and wellness, Michelle integrates nutrition coaching with her movement and mindfulness practices. Using a performance-based system designed by NASA  to fuel the body effectively, she guides clients in making sustainable choices that support energy, recovery, and overall well-being.


Private Sessions

Customized, one-on-one sessions that focus on your specific goals, whether physical, emotional, or both. Michelle offers the Moving Forward Wellness Program to help clients gain strength, mobility, balance, and clarity in their health journey. Each program begins with a personalized assessment and tailored plan addressing movement, flexibility, nutrition, and stress management. Whether clients are just getting started or ready for long-term transformation, Michelle provides one-on-one guidance while also connecting them to the supportive community at Intrinsic Wellness Studio. Semi-Private Sessions

For those who want to share their wellness journey with family or friends, ask Michelle about her  Semi-Private session options (private Yoga or functional flow session for up to 4 participants).


Studio Group Classes

Michelle is not only the Director of studio classes and programs, but also one our teachers/instructors. These group classes are intentionally designed for the everyday person—not extreme yogis or fitness elites. These classes blend functional movement, balance and posture training, breath work, and meditation in a supportive, non-intimidating environment. Clients receive the personalized attention of a small class while still enjoying the energy and encouragement of a community.
